Jim has joined the Aire Rivers Trust as a Project Officer, bringing a background in freshwater ecology, river enhancement and practical habitat management. Before joining ART, he worked as an ecologist and completed an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation. Jim has hands-on experience in river and riparian surveys, water quality monitoring, invasive species control, and delivering on-site ecological supervision (ECoW). “Working with the Aire Rivers Trust allows me to combine my practical ecological experience with my passion for Yorkshire’s rivers. I’m excited to help deliver projects that make a real, lasting difference in the area I live and grew up, for both wildlife and local communities.”
