Riverfly Monitoring training 2

April 6 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

PipettingstrapforthewebJoin us for a one day course to learn about the Riverfly Monitoring Programme. This is a practical course with sessions in the classroom and on the River to learn the sampling techniques and the identification of the Riverfly to be recorded in the programme.

You will learn how to use the equipment and record your samples.
After the course you will be able and encouraged to carry out sampling at a suitable location on a regular basis.
The course is organised by Aire Rivers Trust with funding received by Yorkshire Water.

Booking is essential and places are limited.

The Riverfly Partnership is a dynamic network of organisations, representing anglers, conservationists, entomologists, scientists, water course managers and relevant authorities, working together to:

  • protect the water quality of our rivers
  • further the understanding of riverfly populations and
  • actively conserve riverfly habitats.

The Riverfly Partnership is hosted by the Freshwater Biological Association.

For further information please contact Nick Milsom 07378 878857
