Airey Tales at Saltaire Festival

September 15 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

AireyFacts and Fibs about the River Aire. The premiere of a new play written to celebrate the return to the river of living creatures threatened with extinction.

The last record of a salmon in Bingley was in 1808 but this iconic species is returning along with others with fins and wings and things. Representatives of river life ask us what we’ve done to deserve this – and how we should be on guard to preserve the habitats of water creatures.

Plenty of fun, some music – and a strong element of warning. Kindly sponsored by Aire Rivers Trust as part of their DNAire project.
