In partnership with Skipton Wellbeing Walks, we are delivering river walks along the River Aire.
PLEASE NOTE START LOCATION FOR THIS WALK HAS CHANGED
The start point has changed to Cononley Lane End Bus Stop on the A629(T) due to the current train strike disrupting the service to Cononley.
We will still Meet for 11 am.
The walk is going to be shorter than normal due to not having the train as an escape route. We will have a walk up the river and hopefully visit deadeye pond (it is currently shut due to a health and safety incident). Then return to the village, have a look at the village wildlife group’s garden and then eat lunch in the park. Returning to the bus stop to end.
Please take care with the sun and wear a hat and sun cream. Also it may be worth advising long sleeves and trousers due to local concerns about harmful plants.
Also if you were hoping to bring a dog I have been asked to let participants know they are not allowed into the Deadeye Pond site by request of the site manager.
Take the 10:50am No.66 Bus from Skipton Bus Station.
Participants are advised to wear walking boots, warm and waterproof clothing. Packed lunch and drinks are required, alongside any personal medication needed. The use of walking poles is recommended. Participants walk at their own risk. If you wish to bring a dog please contact Sam on 07456 481797 before attending.
