In partnership with Skipton Health Walks we are delivering river walks along the upper river Aire.
A scenic pair of walks starting from Kildwick church steps. Walk one is a 2-mile loop taking in Kildwick and Farnhill Halls via the edge of Farnhill Moor. Returning on the canal to the village for lunch. Walk two then loops 3.3 miles along the Leeds & Liverpool canal towards Silsden. Then returning via the river Aire to Kildwick Bridge.
The first route includes one steep hill climb and a short section of rough moorland walking. Route 2 is flat with several step stiles, a section of muddy field walking.
Participants are advised to wear walking boots, warm and waterproof clothing. Packed lunch and drinks are required, alongside any personal medication needed. The use of walking poles is recommended. Participants walk at their own risk.
If you wish to bring a dog please contact Sam on the e-mail address given below before attending.
