A pair of walks from Malham village, walk one is a 2-mile loop to the foot of the cove and returns to the village for lunch. Walk two then heads 2miles down the river Aire to Kirby Malham to catch the return bus to Skipton. Walkers traveling in their own car can choose to return to Malham.
The route includes one gentle hill climb, crossing several slip and step stiles, a section of muddy field walking and climbing a few small flights of steps without handrails.
Participants are advised to wear walking boots, warm and waterproof clothing. Packed lunch and drinks are required, alongside any personal medication needed. The use of walking poles is recommended.
