Summer 2022 see the trust begin an exciting new project to clear the historic Shipley Glen and the Loadpit Beck of Himalayan Balsam. A non-native plant that is taking over our river banks. Stopping our native plants from growing and leading to our river banks eroding in Winter.

During the months of June and July, we will be working hard to remove Balsam from the Glen.

For this workday, we will be meeting in the layby By the Old Glen House Pub on Glen Road, BD17 5EA. The What3words for this site is ///grad.animals.smuggled.

Please wear walking boots with ankle support and high grip soles (contact Sam with your shoe size if you need to borrow), full arm and leg cover, suitable clothing and bring packed lunch ,as well as any medication such as Epi Pens need to stay healthy. We provide refreshments, PPE, transport expenses and friendly support.
