
Salary: £28,500 per annum
Contract: Full-time, fixed term role to 31st March 2027. Potential to become permanent.
Location: Hybrid — Bradford, Greengates office, the Aire catchment, and home

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and approachable person to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on connecting with people and delivering conservation works in and around our rivers.

You will support the Project Manager on the successful delivery of projects to improve the river Aire and its tributaries. You will have a good understanding of watery habitats including rivers and the pressures they face. The role will be about planning and managing small scale interventions including natural flood management and in channel habitat improvements. You will support the Project Manager on bigger projects and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills around project management, fish passage and the regulatory framework.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in environmental science, geography, ecology, hydrology or a related field. They will also have experience in practical environmental projects and working with stakeholders. We need someone who is proactive, willing to learn and will seek out new information and learning to support their development and work.
