National Lottery Heritage Fund Evaluation Consultant
The Aire Rivers Trust and The Environment Agency are seeking an independent consultant or team of consultants to help effectively evaluate the impacts of the Developing the Natural Aire (DNAire) project in line with the needs of funders, not least The National Lottery Heritage Fund. This three year project will:
- Restore the natural heritage of the River Aire by installing four fish passes to complete the missing link in its ecological reconnection, thereby enabling salmon, coarse fish and eels to return to their traditional spawning grounds in the headwaters.
- Engage people with the river heritage by creating a trail of ‘Focus Points’ along the river. People will be able to access the heritage and follow the route of migrating salmon.
- Work with communities along the river to engage and educate them about the past, present and future of the river and how it contributes to their health and the economy.
- Provide training in heritage skills for people – from local citizens through apprentices to undergraduate students.
We are seeking tenders to complete this work over the period 2020 to early 2023. An indicative budget and more details can be found in the link below.Invitation to tender
The consultant should send their tender, by the deadline of Wednesday 12th February, to firstname.lastname@example.org using the email header EVALUATION CONSULTANT TENDER
A decision on the awarding of the contract will be made by ART and the EA based on the written submissions. We reserve the right to invite short-listed consultants to interview. If so, they will be given at least 48 hours’ notice.
