At the Aire Rivers Trust we are the only environmental charity dedicated to looking after the Aire and its tributaries. We work to improve our rivers through habitat enhancement, reducing pollution, and improving access and education. We aim to punch above our weight with exciting new projects across the catchment, from the stunning Malham Cove to the hidden Bradford Beck and down through Leeds to the Ouse at Airmyn.
Our most important asset is our people: we want to recruit the best. You will join a friendly and committed team of experts passionate about improving the River Aire and the streams that feed it.
As our Trust grows we need to take on additional team members to meeting those demands - increasing both our capacity and capability. Our current vacancies are described below.
Our current vacancies are for:
Programme Manager - to strengthen project governance across the organisation, and to take the lead on developing our ambitious "Strings of Pearls" project which will deliver a string of wetlands across the catchment.
Project Officer, River Enhancement - a hands-on role to support the Project Manager in the successful delivery of projects to improve the River Aire and its tributaries
GIS Officer - as our first dedicated GIS Officer, you will play a vital role in strengthening how we collect, manage, analyse, and share spatial data.
